What Do We Have In Common With…

In Contests, Life, Quilting by Lisa Burnett

Genevieve Gorder?  Okay, it's a very short list.  We are all female.  Um, tha't about all I can think of.  I have been watching her for years- first on Trading Spaces a long time ago, and now on her own HGTV show as well as on Design Star (I am an HGTV junkie).  She is super talented, extremely successful and an incredible designer.  But other that the female thing, I've got nothing.  Except for….

Our studio is featured in the same issue as hers in Studios magazine this month!

As I opened the magazine to our feature, I had to laugh.  That is our studio, of course.  But it isn't exactly how it looks today.  The day we took the photos, we had a major cleaning/organizing session.  There wasn't a paper out of place.  All of our fabric was neatly and precisely stacked by collection.  Even the pillows were perfectly fluffed.  Yep, that's how it always looks.  Except for the toys all over the place, the stacks of club kits on the chair, yesterday's coffee cups on the counter, color samples on my desk and random pieces of fabric everywhere for no apperent reason.  You know- the place where we work.   At least we have the photos to remind us how it is supposed to look.

In other magazine news, Quiltmaker magazine is featuring a couple of our prints in their magazine- and they are giving them away.  Check out their blog and enter their contest here.

Oh, one more thing.  We have been busy preparing for a fun weekend starting on Friday.  We will have a booth at the annual Quilt-A-Fair in Longmont, Colorado.  If you are anywhere close, please come see us!
