Day Two

In 12 Days of Christmas, Quilting by Lisa Burnett

Having trouble getting in the holiday spirit?  Because, you know, Halloween was so yesterday.  This project might help.  We call them Holiday Sweet Hoops.

If you signed up for the Feed Co Block of the Month (and if you did, thank you so much!), this project will give you a little embroidery practice for your quilt blocks.  And if you were worried about the embroidery in the Block of the Month quilt, you may want to try this to see how fun it is.

The kit includes the printed fabric to embroider on, the wooden hoop and the instructions to complete one hoop project.  The hoops measure 3″ and there are eight different styles.

We took these cuties to a local show in September and this one sold out the first hour.  Not surprising.  Some of you really like snowmen!

This one is my personal favorite.  And it looks so cute laying on the plaid from Feed Company.  Too bad we won’t have any of that this Christmas.  Just enough to take the photo.  Oh well, maybe next Christmas!

The checked fabric in the last two photos are from Feed Company also.  Don’t have any of that either.  Boo.

You can find the kits here.  Or you can also find them on our Etsy site.

Some of you have asked what the backing fabric is on the Feed Co BOM quilt.  I totally forgot to take a photo of the back, but the fabric we are using is the black bandanna, pictured in this photo:

Oh, and if you are going to Hollyhill Quilt Shoppe in Oregon this weekend, make sure to say hi to my mom.  She will be teaching this very project at their store Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

One more thing, if you are looking for the fabric kit to this month’s Label Crew, we will get it listed early next week.  Everything was slightly delayed this month because the material used for the labels was back ordered.  Which means everything around here has been back ordered.  We did get the Label Crew out, just everything else is backed up!

Have a great weekend and we will see you on Monday!
