It’s never too early for Christmas, right? Honestly, I kind of enjoy the weeks after Christmas to simplify my house, clean and make a fresh start. But by November, I’m all about Christmas- bring it on! But first we have to plan for Christmas. The process for that in the fabric world is a long one. About a year ago, we started designing this new collection. Six months ago, we started thinking about quilts. Last week, this collection started to be shown to stores. In June, it will actually be here and available in stores. Next December, quilts and pillow and table runners made with the collection will be enjoyed in homes. It’s about two years from our head to your home. That seems like a very long time to plan for Christmas. Oh, and we are just beginning to plan fabric for Christmas 2022. Yikes. It’s hard to keep up.
But today, we get to introduce our Christmas 2021 line. We call it Red Barn Christmas. I’ve always dreamed of having a huge red barn. Of course, I don’t have one, but I can dream. It would be especially fun at Christmas. I can see it surrounded by snow and pine trees with a huge green wreath on the white door. That idea inspired this collection. Here is a look.
As much as we love the fabric, we love our new Printworks panels just as much. Here are the ones we designed to coordinate with Red Barn Christmas. They come in two color ways. First up is the traditional Christmas colors in red, green and cream:
Next is a beautiful red and cream.
The blocks in these panels are 18″ x 18″. We wanted them large to use them in a quilt. 18″ blocks are striking. Here is the result in a quilt we call Very Merry:
We love it in the red, but the quilt also comes in the multi color way.
The 18″ panels are also perfect for these one panel quilts.
These quilts are completely interchangeable- simple choose any panel and any block- you can even combine the blocks if you like.
We used four of the panels in our “Season Of Joy” quilt.
