Oxford Patterns!

In Quilting by Lisa Burnett

We are so excited to share our patterns for Oxford!  It was so fun mixing the prints with the wovens.  It makes for a different, interesting texture.  The first one is called “Oxford Lane” and it may be our most favorite quilt ever!

House quilts are so popular now, but we wanted ours to have a Sweetwater spin to it.   “Oxford Lane” combines piecing, applique, words and embroidery.

Here’s a closer look at the embroidery blocks. (However, the word blocks don’t require embroidery if that’s not your thing!).

Here’s a closer look at the cute little flowers.

Since there are three of us, we are definitely fighting over this one!

Our next quilt is called “Tailgate”.  This is actually a remake of a pattern from our “Feed Company” fabric collection called “Barn Raising”.  Here it is back in 2014.

We love the modern take on the Log Cabin.  We even love it more in Oxford.  We only used the woven stripes and plaids in the new quilt- except for the binding.  We bound “Tailgate” in a floral and it mixed perfectly with all the wovens.

As always, we are offering these quilts as kits with a pre-order.  Remember, the Oxford fabric won’t be here until late August, which means that if you order a quilt kit, it will arrive to you in late August/early September, depending on the exact time we receive the fabric.  After we receive the fabric, it takes a couple of weeks to get everything cut and shipped.

If you aren’t familiar with our pre-order process, please know that when you pre-order a kit, you pay for 1/2 now and 1/2 right before we ship.  That way, everyone who wants a kit has the opportunity to get one, and we can order the correct amount of fabric for the kits.  The kits are available now in our store.  Please note that you must place your order before May 25.  We will cut off pre-orders after the 25th.  Have a beautiful May Day!
